CASP Member Spotlight: The Shape of Behavior

Hi Everyone,

I am very pleased to share our member spotlight of The Shape of Behavior with you. They have been involved in the conference from almost the very beginning and were one of the first organizations to become a member when CASP became a membership organization. I was excited to learn about their new adult day clinic, and expansion of services. Find out more about The Shape, their services, and their history, below!

Ask The Shape of Behavior CEO and Founder

What’s something your agency has done or accomplished recently that you are proud of?
The Shape opened its first adult only day clinic in March 2017. This ranch-style facility sits on five acres of land in Cypress, Texas. It has a three-bedroom house downstairs, and offices for working upstairs giving our adults the best combination and environment for learning, thriving and choice making. We have regularly scheduled outings in the community. Some of the exciting developments based on the interest of our adults in the program include a petting zoo with baby goats, a basketball court and small stand-alone gym, a barn and chicken coup, a garden planted with love for our farm to table cooking program, and plans to add a café and game room soon. These plans were inspired by the interests of the adults in our program to be a place where they can live, work, play and make choices about how to build independence as well as engage and learn throughout the day.

What’s an interesting fact about your organization that people may not know?
The Shape has been serving individuals with autism for over 17 years. Dr. Randall is a proud University of North Texas graduate! We also have a team of over 150 RBTs, 20 BCBAs with a specialized clinical team of BCBA-Ds who serve as peer review, as well as dedicated training department led by BCBAs and a management team with a commitment to OBM.
