CASP Community AI Work Group Call

CASP is forming working groups to develop guidelines for the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in the delivery of applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for individuals with autism. The goal is to develop draft guidance that outlines the role of autism service provider organizations in the use of AI/ML technologies. This guidance will help to ensure the effective and ethical application of AI/ML in ABA services, emphasizing reliance on evidence-based practices and client safety.

Rebecca Womack and Dr. Missy Olive are leading this project, with support from CASP’s COO, Mike Wasmer. Two working groups will ensure that this project can be accomplished within a reasonable timeline.

Primary Work Group

• This group will be responsible for the initial development of AI/ML guidelines.
• The primary work group will meet twice a month (the 2nd and 3rd Friday of each month at 2:00 p.m. ET)
• Primary work group members are also asked to attend the monthly Community work group meetings (see details below).
• If you are interested in participating in the primary work group, please complete this application form by Friday, June 21^st. Those selected to participate will be notified no later than June 25th.
• The first meeting of the Primary Work Group will be held on July 12 at 2:00 pm ET.  A separate calendar event will be created for these meetings. 

Community Work Group

• This group will provide feedback throughout the project.
• The community work group will meet monthly on the 4th Friday at 2:00 pm ET.
• If you would like to contribute feedback on this project, please join the Artificial Intelligence in ABA Working Group, hosted on the CASP community platform. 

All communications regarding this project will occur through this group on the CASP community platform. 

The first CASP Community AI Work Group call is scheduled for Friday, June 28^th, at 2 p.m. ET.

1. From the event page on the CASP website. If you are logged into the CASP website and associated with a CASP Member organization, you can join the call from the link in the blue box above.
2. For security purposes, all participants must be logged into a Zoom account when joining the call. A free Zoom account can be created here if you do not already have one.
