Yvonne Bruinsma, PhD, BCBA-D

Yvonne Bruinsma, Ph.D. is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D). She founded In STEPPS in 2010 and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer. In STEPPS is located mainly in California and prides itself on high-quality ABA and NDBI services for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities or delays. Dr. Bruinsma has more than 25 years of experience in the field. She previously gained extensive experience as the clinical director and clinical manager at several agencies and she brought PRT to the Netherlands. Dr. Bruinsma has published a peer-reviewed article and co-written a book about Naturalistic Developmental Behavior Interventions (NDBI). She has worked in a variety of settings, including developmental centers, group homes for adults with developmental disabilities, vocational sites, family homes, and schools. Dr. Bruinsma founded a school for students with autism and similar learning differences in 2018 and she currently remains Chair of the Board. Dr. Bruinsma is serving as a CASP board member and continues to work to advance the field of ABA in any way she can.
